HAMILTON BOOK TAG

This is a pretty recent thing, but I’m now obsessed with the Broadway musical Hamilton, and so I decided to find a tag! Twirling Pages did this a few months ago on her blog, and it seemed like a lot of fun (I also watched some booktube videos and found more questions I liked)! If you love books and Hamilton as well, feel free to do this tag!

The Room Where It Happens: a book world you would like to put yourself into

I would love to go to Camp Half-Blood from Percy Jackson and the Olympians, even though there’s a constant worry about death and monsters, I’d be okay because it seems like such a cool place to be.

The Schuyler Sisters: an underrated female character

GINNY WEASLEY (I’m realizing that a lot of my answers are Harry Potter, and I’m not even sorry). She gets such a bad rep for some reason, but she’s such a powerful witch and deserves more credit.

Stay Alive: a character you wish was still alive (SPOILER)

Max Lightwood. His death in the third book of The Mortal Instruments destroyed me and reading about his family falling apart was so sad. SO sad.

Satisfied: your favorite book with multiple POVs

Marie Lu’s Legend trilogy has two POVs (Day and June) and I love it so much. You get to see how they each react to a situation, and the characters are so wonderful that the series is still one of my favorites.

The Reynold’s Pamphlet: book with a twist you didn’t see coming

Cassandra Clare’s City of Bones has the biggest plot twist ever in my opinion. I never saw it coming, and it affected the whole series.

Non-Stop: a series you marathoned

Percy Jackson and the Olympians was a series that I didn’t start until it was over, so I took all the books from my sister and read them (thanks to her for introducing them to me) and became obsessed.

Burn: the most heartbreaking end to a relationship (SPOILER)

Oh man, this is hard. I would definitely say All the Bright Places. Finch and Violet had such a cute and meaningful relationship, but the way it ended was so sad.

Helpless: a relationship you were pulling for from the start

I am such a shipper when I read, so I have a lot of OTPs (and I realize that doesn’t make sense), but one of my top ten (probably top three too) is Emily and Frank from Morgan Matson’s Since You’ve Been Gone, because they are too cute. I haven’t read her latest book yet, but apparently they’re mentioned and I’m so excited!

Right Hand Man: favorite brotp (friendship)

Cinder and Thorne from The Lunar Chronicles, not only because they basically save the world together, but they have the most unlikely friendship but they always support each other and they’re hilarious.

Wait For It: most anticipated upcoming release

*opens 2016 release shelf on Goodreads* Cassandra Clare’s Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy novella set is coming out in print on November 15! It’s Simon’s story, and I m so pumped to read about him becoming a Shadowhunter. (I should of done this before May 3, then I would have had a bunch of choices)

It’s Quiet Uptown: a book or series that put you in a book hangover

Huntley Fitzpatrick’s My Life Next Door is such a perfect summer beach read, but it also has this serious tone to it at the end that makes you want to reread it a million times (which I have), so when I read it for the first time, I was in a serious book hangover.

My Shot: a character that goes after what they want and doesn’t let anyone stop them

Aelin from Throne of Glass. This girl seriously doesn’t care if someone tells her no, she just does the thing anyways (with a little bit more stealth).

Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story: a book or series you feel will be remembered throughout history

I’m answering Harry Potter again, because it’s so true. Harry Potter is such an important story to so many people, I think it’s going to take a very long time before we all forget about it.

Hamilton Soundtrack: iTunes Amazon Spotify

This was pretty fun to do! I’m sorry that I answered Harry Potter for a lot of these, but it fit some of the tags so perfectly I couldn’t resist! Do you like Hamilton? What’s your favorite song? (Mine’s You’ll Be Back or The Room Where It Happens or Helpless or One Last Time or Dear Theodosia or The World Was Wide Enough or don’t make me choose) Feel free to do this tag if you want, spread the joy of Hamilton!
