MONTH IN REVIEW: February 2016

Hey, guys! I hope everyone had a fabulous February 😉 let’s get to it!

This month was a little bit busier than January, but I still managed to read 12 books:

  1. Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard: The Sword of Summer (Rick Riordan)
  2. Salt to the Sea (Ruta Sepetys)
  3. Lola and the Boy Next Door (Stephanie Perkins) *re-read*
  4. Illuminae (Amie Kaufman, Jay Kristoff)
  5. The Raven Boys (Maggie Stiefvater)
  6. The Nightmare Charade (Mindee Arnett)
  7. Dangerous Lies (Becca Fitzpatrick)
  8. Me Being Me is Exactly as Insane as You Being You (Todd Hasak-Lowy) DID NOT FINISH
  9. The Bane Chronicles (Cassandra Clare)
  10. All the Light We Cannot See (Anthony Doerr)
  11. One Plus One Equals Blue (MJ Auch)
  12. The Rose Society (Younq Elites #2) (Marie Lu)
  13. Bitterblue (Kristin Cashore)

Looking at this, I’m realizing that I didn’t post as much as I would’ve liked to, but a lot of these books weren’t good (or bad) enough for me to want to review them. My favorites of this month were probably Salt to the Sea, Illuminae, the Raven Boys, The Bane Chronicles and The Rose Society.

Moving on to books I bought!

  1. One Plus One Equals Blue (MJ Auch)
  2. The Rose Society (Younq Elites #2) (Marie Lu)
  3. Bitterblue (Kristin Cashore)
  4. Cinder (Marissa Meyer)
  5. To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before (Jenny Han)
  6. Shadow and Bone (Leigh Bardugo)
  7. Seabiscuit (Laura Hillenbrand)
  8. The Glass Castle (Jeannette Walls)
  9. A Tale of Two Cities (Charles Dickens)

I bought The Rose Society and Cinder at Books on the Common in Ridgefield, Connecticut (visited family), and Seabiscuit, The Glass Castle, and A Tale of Two Cities at a local thrift shop, each for 20 cents. My mom and I went into New York City for a day and stopped at the Strand, an independent bookstore, where I bought the rest of the books, along with some other bookish things!

I just finished Bitterblue last night, so expect a review up very soon!! I just started Me Before You by Jojo Moyes this morning to start off March. This month I’m following a couple book groups that are doing #hypebusters, popular books that you’ve haven’t read but are very popular! I’ve made up a March TBR with a bunch of books that I want to get to, and I know that I’ll get to others along the way. I’m very excited to read a bunch of cool books (and Lady Midnight comes out in a week!!!).

On a different note, thank you for 50 followers on this blog!

Here’s to a March full of good books! Happy Reading!
